Stop Press!

or more appropriatly “stop needles!”…I was bumbling around out in cyber space looking for ideas for Dylan’s birthday present. I didn’t want anything too massive as he had already had his “big” present which was a Diamondback “Grind” BMX and found this…Transformers Toque which I shall be knitting from now on in the hopes I can have it finished by the 26th!

I did say I would show you a pic of the display I have been working on this passed week:

The trunk is made from this wonderful polysilk we had in last term, I’ve been dieing to use it! Hand print leaves in autumn colours and the falling leaves have been decorated with string and sponge painting from the children.

Also this week I have started on this:

Spinning Jo’s BFL, I’m getting a bit better with the constistency of the spin, I think…It’s fun anyway! I have no idea what I’m going to do with it, I’m open to suggestions…

Ms Blethers has surprised me with this wonderful award, thank you Miss.

  1. My oldest is constantly asking for a Transformers toque. He was pretending to knit yesterday and I asked him what he was knitting – “a transformers toque mama”. Guess I’d better get on it!

  2. Aw thank you for the compliment 🙂 and I will respond to it in the the next few days.
Your spinning is coming on so well, loe the colours on that one

  3. Thank you so much for the award, dearie! I will blog about it when I’m back from hols…

Your artwork is brilliant – such lovely ideas/colours. and your handspun looks great – a cowl perhaps?!

  4. I’ve not seen the transformers toque before, that’s one for the fav list, thankyou so much for the award, it’s always an honour to be awarded something, it’s lovely to see the bfl taking shape, looks really consistant! have to see how much you get, maybe enough for some sunny wristwarmers?

  5. Love the display! And great spinning too! I can’t wait to see the end results! Plus the Braided sweater is looking great – worth the effort I’ll bet!

  6. thank you for all your wonderful comments, I probably will have enough for a cowl, but I’m not very good at wearing them, I might make one of woollywormheads hats, or maybe some wristwarmers. Thanks for your help girls.
